After everybody fucked everything up, Cody came out and put the main event of Wrestlemania entirely on his shoulders and sold it like his life depended on it. That's what REAL wrestlers do. Roman wouldn't have done this. The Rock wouldn't have done this. #Smackdown

Here's the funny part. Ratings for both Raw & Smackdown are way up from the fall. Arena business is very good. Mania tickets were overpriced.

Night 2 outsold night 1 last year (Night 2 was Cody’s main event and Night 1 was Roman’s main event). Night 2 always does better. Cody outsold Roman in Merchandise in 2023 and 2024. 2025 Doesn’t reveal who sold more only that both were top sellers. All facts. No opinions.

This is 100% completely unsustainable as a society. Nearly 50% of all consumer spending now comes from the top 10% of earners. The bottom 80%? Their share keeps falling. This is why the economy can look strong in the data while millions of people feel like they're falling behind.

From a storyline perspective Roman losing at Mania makes the most sense. Roman painting Punk to be this weak fragile old man that can’t hang anymore while Punk continues to disrespect Roman and his family. When Cody came out in his entrance the crowd popped and cheered. During the Cody vs Drew match the crowd was chanting Cody Rhodes. When Cody Rhodes won the match and became a 3x WWE Champion the crowd popped and cheered. Triple H reads the room. What he doesn’t read or listen to are the ones on the internet complaining that their guy or girl isn’t champion or main eventing WrestleMania. Triple H isn’t listening to the minority on the internet, he listens to the majority buying tickets to the shows and buying the merchandise. How about y’all read the room and see that Cody Rhodes is loved by more than those on the internet say. Fans buy tickets to see Cody Rhodes. Fans buy Cody Rhodes merchandise Stop listening to the ones spreading false narratives on the internet and pay attention to the story, the crowd, and the facts. Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton is the right call. The history they have had over the years all leads up to this at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship. It was said Cody vs Roman II was set since THE DAY AFTER MANIA 39 the only one who went into business for himself is The Rock Comparing Cody winning the rumble, rightfully earning his spot and having to give it away to Drew losing a title match is disingenuous af Also the dislikes were not the only contributing factor. You had a hashtag that was trending for days and articles covering the situation which translated to in person fan support. Celebrities and different personalities getting involved in it. I’m a massive advocator for women main eventing but none of the matches are main event worthy the only exception would’ve been Rhea vs Iyo or Rhea vs Bianca. Neither women’s stories are compelling enough and the matchups don’t contain enough star power to warrant it.

It’s funny seeing the same old social media “outrage” about Cody, but I was there in the arena during the match feeling the arena shaking as they cheered for him to win and erupt when he won. The “IWC” thinks they speak for such a larger percentage than they actually do.

2 years ago, fans turned against Rock vs Roman because they felt Cody was getting screwed. The same thing is happening now with Drew McIntyre. They screwed him out of the title and the main event just to set up a “dream match” that has already happened. Drew deserves better.

Ever since WWE introduced the World Heavyweight Title, it’s clearly been presented as the workhorse championship. Seth set the tone, Priest kept it active, Jey and GUNTHER were always on TV, and now CM Punk has taken it even higher. Every defense feels important, and he’s made the title feel like the top title in the company. That’s why I don’t think Roman should win it. Roman brings prestige, no doubt. But this title was created to be defended consistently and be front and center every week. Punk fits that role perfectly right now. If WWE wants both RAW and SmackDown’s main event scenes to stay strong, Punk walking out of WrestleMania as champion just makes the most sense.
