I'm not sure what what developments are taking place at Dice World, but I eagerily await them as long as the update isn't to port things to the Unite platform which doesn't seem to work with braille dispalys.

New braille bug in iOS 16.3. When Pressing space with 4-6 to invoke the Notification Center, the Bluetooth connection between the phone and braille display drops. This seems to be effecting all displays. Workaround it by invoking Notification Center with gestures.

@nycki96 That is my favorite synth also. I am having all the braille problems on my SE 3, but Eloquince made it worth the inconvenience.

@ScottDavert thank you for this, Scott. I am glad to hear that some of these are not encountered by all phones. I wish the BSI and eloque de one didn’t occur, as I wanted to try eloquence and I use BSI all the time if I don’t have my braille display near by.

Updated to include further descriptions of the braille bugs and also workarounds which may provide clarity regarding the severity rating of braille bugs.

I mean, ok, but not if you use a Brailliant or Mantis Q40 display. Those new e-Readers being distributed by NLS? Nope, not those either. Chameleon 20? NOPE! So I guess it's not fun for everyone, is it? I guess it is for me, but that's because I'm on an iPhone.

This is a decent written summary of some of the new changes, but punctuation grouping and the rotor options for things like the Dot Pad already exist on iOS 15.6. Not on the SE 2 or 3, but on any of the later flagship phones.

@linnea710420 ,i consider most of them minor because you can work around them by using the Edit Rotor. I don't use a Braille Sense, though, and many of the bugs seem to only impact SE users. Would I upgrade if I were you? IDK, because I'm not. LOL

@ScottDavert I have a Braille Sense. how serious are your personal experiences with these Braille bugs. I read something about not being able to edit with a Braille display. Are they talking rotor commands or those shortcut keys that never really worked well for me.

@mehgcap I'm not either. However, as a hard of hearing person, I can tell you that I am enjoying Alex, the TTS voice, over Samantha. Eloquince would have been nice though. Maybe next OS?

Just so you all know, I'm not seeing Eloquence as an option for VoiceOver on watchOS. All the other voices are there, as far as I can tell, but not Eloquence. Just so you Eloquence fans are aware before Monday.
