I just tried the "Translate" feature in the @TextifyiApp , and it worked superbly masyaAllah! I first saved the website page as a PDF, and simply uploaded it to the following link: texti.fyi/en/translate

#DigitizationTip #1: For non-native students, having a digitized PDF speeds up the preparation process by an insane amount! Looking up the definition of a word went from 33sec to less than 5 sec 🤯 (video example below) Before creating a searchable PDF for my class, I would look up each word, type it out, search the definition, and THEN find out which one fits. With a searchable PDF, the definition is just one 3-finger tap away! This allows you to not only prepare quicker but also provides the option to go more in-depth since the tedious part is out of the way

Are there any other curated websites like waqfeya[.]net for Islamic Books? (not necessarily restricted to Arabic books) I want to mass digitize them by creating a searchable PDF for all of them. And since the digitization is not perfect, itll be invisible text over the original text - so all the benefits of the original file + benefits of digitization!

It's kinda crazy that AI can do a relatively "okay" job with extracting text that is THIS bad quality 🤯 We're living in a new age now

Theres 133 TERABYTES of Arabic books on Archive . org Thats 133,000 gigabytes. And almost all of those books are in a scanned format - can't be copied, analyzed, or anything else. Enter @TextifyiApp: it accurately extracts text from these books in any language and can also create scanned PDFs. By digitizing all of that knowledge, it opens up an endless potential of possibilities - more to come inshaAllah!

One of the biggest issues with OCR (and naturally @TextifyiApp ) is that the formatting of the output text is incorrect. Elements are all over the place, headers are getting in the main text, etc etc Working on something that could make it better right now!

Should be all good now! It shouldn't stop working randomly now

Just as a heads up, theres an on going issue when uploading files. Ill be pushing a short fix out soon and then work on finding the long term solution

@TextifyiApp seems like the app is having some issues. Haven’t been able to get it to work this morning.

@imam_marc There was another bug that came up since I needed to migrate some of my backend around. It's fixed now but I'm actively monitoring it since I have a feeling it might come back cc: @ssraza21 (just so i get notifications lol)

@TextifyiApp Seems like maybe another glitch? I tried signing out/in on desktop/mobile but it doesn’t seem to be reading the files.
