@genomancer @EugeneBWhitaker I negotiate these types of contracts every day. I'm assuming your atty tried but WOTC was intransigent. Try asking not to remove, but to add a statement clarifying that "telling the truth is not a violation of this clause".

@EugeneBWhitaker Yeah, my lawyer is looking into whether it's enforceable but I'd rather not sign it at all. I was hoping they'd redline just the survivability for me (or better, everyone) but looks like that's not on the table.

Looking for input: The vendor contract for the Commander panel includes a *surviving* non-disparagement clause, which means it limits what I can say about them forever, even if the contract ends. I don't mind the NDC, but I'm uncomfortable with it in perpetuity. Thoughts?

@genomancer As both a 30 year player and an attorney I can tell you that this clause is not unheard of but highly suspect every time I see it. The question is, will they amend it to state that "telling the truth is not a violation of this clause"? The response will clearly show their intent.

@tearsforfears As one of my favorite bands, this use of tech that uses the work of artists without their consent, to function at capacity, is disappointing. Tho not too late to hire an artist who won’t use exploitative tech, wont give you a PR nightmare and can give you a copyrightable image🤷🏻‍♀️

@tearsforfears @surrealistly I'm so disappointed. You have to know how the vast majority of artists feel about the plagiarism engine, right? 'Elemental' was the first thing I listened to while recovering in hospital from open heart surgery. And this travesty just lost you a 30+ year, devoted fan. :(
