@pometacular The one that goes swoosh and ploink is great (I know nothing either. Get a mechanical keyboard since you have issues with them working at the same time).

does anyone have recs for wireless keyboards for pcs? i dont know ANYTHING about keyboards but it would have to work while i have my drawing tablet on since ive been having issues with my old one T^T

Day 61💙 Not the best results today, but I was able to increase the speed by 5 minutes!

@eunypie This was how I learned in art school. They had still lifes set up and we used charcoal to draw them from observation. You learn a lot about how light affects things, including cloth, and value is like 80% of the process. Crazy that what's in those images is literal stone x.x

@ignited_x I can see what you mean. I had the same issue with my faces, so I started doing a lot of face studies, and not I'm doing line art with that, which makes a MASSIVE difference.

@ShadowArthor There were some obvious mistakes I've made. But the glaring issue to me was her face... It looks derpy to me

Digital art Day 9! I tried to sketch something from start to finish... I personally hate it. Never felt that way in a while-

@Kunitworo Yeah. The term likely originated from when nerd culture was still young and there were fewer groups. Gatekeeping nowadays doesn't really do much other than show you places you don't wanna interact with.

@ShadowArthor yeah i feel like that would only work for like indie titles right? not big franchises

Sorry if I get controversial (?) I genuinely don’t understand “gatekeeping” like can’t you just…….. ignore them? You don’t have to interact with everyone in certain community…..

I wanted to share a before and after of my art. I've been doing this practice for a month, and this is the qualitative jump. It's boring, I hate it, and it's not what I want to do, but the results speak for themselves. I'm that much closer to my webtoon goal!

@ignited_x I'll be honest, boring though it is, if you don't practice the technical skills enough, you won't improve nearly as much. If you just want to have fun, it doesn't matter, but if you want to improve, the suffering is worth it to gain the skill.

Digital Art learning Day 8 I did more of these behind the scenes. But I'll actually move on now. Don't want to make this journey boring on myself by only practising the technical skills
