My Dinner with Hayden is canon and included now in physical copies of Heated Rivalry, so yes Hayden is a biphobic dud who puts hands in Ilya in Shane’s own house but it's JJ y'all want to frame as the villain in fics. How dat work????
I do love interpretations like these because as an autistic person who does stuff like this because of how physically uncomfortable tough emotions are for me I do love this interpretation
This scene says so much about how he grew up, even his breakdown is timed, and then it’s straight into problem solving mode. It makes perfect sense that he always needs to be so in control, and that Ilya is the only one he can truly let go with
@hollanbun I feel like this isn't Yuna rejecting emotions; This is Yuna and Shane doing something that they have discovered works for Shane during emotional moments. I would say, this probably is a safe space for Shane, he is letting go in this moment.
