As Nigeria marks National Data Privacy Week 2026, conversations around data protection remind us of a simple truth: one of the ways trust is built is through how well personal data is protected. Aligned with Nigeria’s data protection agenda and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), SCIDaR institutionalises privacy-by-design across all our workflows. In 2025, SCIDaR obtained the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, the international standard for information security, which was verified by DNV Business Assurance. This achievement assures our partners, donors, and communities that our data management complies with rigorous global standards.
