Writer & Podcaster Cori Cohn: “In retrospect, not very reasonable or rational, but I transformed that into: I had a crush on the boys that I liked, and I would like to become the sort of woman that they would be attracted to.”

Sam Altman’s home was just targeted in a second attack. Early Sunday morning, a car stopped and appears to have fired a gun at the Russian Hill home of OpenAI’s CEO, according to a newly-obtained police report.

having the hiccups will truly reveal which of your friends worship at the alter of science and reason (suggest holding your breath until the hiccups go away) and which of your friends will try to “scare them out of you” like a fanatical priest from the 1800s

yikes looks like openai achieved super-intelligence this morning and they're not exactly optimistic sam warned of widespread job loss, biological attacks and major cybersecurity threats in next 12 months: - suggests upcoming 'Spud' model will require societal restructuring due to job loss - warns of these models being used to commit cyber attacks (e.g. nation state attacks) + make bio weapons - also published a policy guide for post-agi economics including a 4-day workweek, a public investment fund (pays you money from AI's success) wsj leaked openai is projected to spend $125B on training costs alone in 2029 openai IPO now rumored to launch Q4 at a $1.2T+ val only two outcomes from this - either sam is capping or we're genuinely on track to achieve AGI this year dario and demis also think the same fwiw

@elegationvain what do you see as the end of gender ideology? obviously finding a non-transition cure but what would that even look like? some GCs don't even think dysphoria exists

There are effectively 2 theories of the case One is that silence on sports and minors made it easier for conservatives to push far broader restrictions. The other is there's no middle ground, and every concession just becomes grounds for the next attack x.com/rcobooth/statu…

Former SJSU volleyball star Brooke Slusser says she shared beds with a transgender teammate without knowing that athlete was a biological male. She says she moved into an apartment with that teammate because her coach encouraged her to. Now, SJSU is suing the Trump administration to challenge an investigation that determined the school violated Title IX, and to reaffirm its commitment to the LGBTQ community, all while Slusser is still working on trying to process everything that happened while she lived in that apartment.

@dilanesper I think it’s important to consider the broader question of where does an integrated assimilated and presumably passable trans person’s right to privacy impose on the rights of people in their circle of contact
