@pictureplane I feel like we watched every city in America get Brooklyn-ified since we started touring in 2010, with the inevitable rent gouging that follows the bar/coffee shop on every corner

When I was in my early- mid 20’s , I lived in an enormous warehouse in Denver and my rent was $300. I was able to make tons of music while paying my rent from washing dishes or delivering sandwiches part time. I’m curious if any young people are able to experience that anymore?

@SmallBlk Thank you. I worried it was veering into that curse portmanteau thing that David Simon overuses on here and the “fluent in sarcasm” crowd adores, but I also thought it was the closest representation of what I mean. So I’m relieved it works.

Seeing such undeniably brilliant people wasting their lives in the pursuit of slop for slop’s sake makes me wildly depressed. These people could have been nurses, doctors, civil engineers, all sorts of cool endeavors. Instead they make scab doodles and call each other amazing.
