The Alpha Course will start in Advent with a Try Alpha session on Wed 13th Dec in the hall at 8pm. Come and join us for mince pies and an introduction with session one. The course will restart Mon 15th Jan at 7.30pm for 9 weeks. To sign up please email steccalpa@outlook.com

Elmbridge Eco Hub in the Elmgrove Estate, Walton provides access to safe space to access many initiatives such as: Library of things, Community Fridge, Refill shop, Repair Café, Small recycling, garden, Seed Bank, Jigsaw Swap, Book Swap. Open Mon/Thu/Fri 9-4, and Sat 9-12

Local Connections: There are a number of opportunities  to meet other retired people for tea, coffee, cakes, games, crafts and general chat in the local area. Weds: 12-2 Walton Baptist Church Winchester Road - 2 course lunch £4 1/2

Prayer Shawls: We are looking for knitters and crocheters to start joining the knitted squares together.  Please contact Margaret Hawkes if you can help.

Lifts for Parishioners As the evenings start to get darker, we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to bring parishioners to Mass and other events at Church.

St Vincent de Paul: We are looking for one or two people to represent the Walton Parish at the SVP meetings in Weybridge.  Please let the Office know if you would be interested.

The Parish Christmas Lunch returns 10th Dec in the Hall after the 11.15am Mass. There will be Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings, some festive cheer and maybe even a special visitor! Please sign up (plus a friend!) at the back of the church.

The first time you use a credit or debit card when giving using the Donate terminals/on line button you will be asked if you want to gift aid your donation. Please consider completing your name and address the parish will obtain an extra 25% on top of your donation.

Thank you to all who contributed to our special Utilities Collection last week. We collected nearly £600 which will help with our bills this winter, keeping the church warm.  There is still time to give; You can place your offering in an envelope marked utilities or online.

FHC 2024: We do not have enough Catechists. Last year we had a fantastic group of parents that step up to deliver it. The more Catechists we have the better as that means you will not have to lead every week. Please get in touch with the Parish office!

First Holy Communion Programme 2024: Please download the registration pack from sterconwalds.org.uk/uploads/3/1/9/…. Application forms should be returned no later than 21st Oct. Any forms received after that date will NOT be considered.

Confirmation Program 2024: If your child is 14 by September 2023, or going into Y10 and wishes to be Confirmed, please download the Confirmation Programme 2024 registration pack from our website. Please contact the Parish Office if you need any more information.

School Forms: If you would like Fr Ruslan to sign your Primary or Secondary School forms, please make sure you are registered within our Parish first. Once you have registered, Fr Ruslan will signing school forms which can be collected from the Sacristy at the end of Mass.

It is time for the second Red Box collection. Please take an envelope from the porch, and return it to the sacristy after Mass by Sunday the 1st of October at the latest. Interested in collecting for overseas missions? Contact Dominic Ennis on 020 8224 6114.

Volunteers needed to operate the new TV screens during mass - as little as one mass a month or less, don't worry - training given!! Perhaps some of our younger parishioners might like to help with this? Help also needed to organise the rota 1/2hr/week. Please contact the office.

As the Synod first session gets under way there is a lot to get involved with. 30/09 Ecumenical prayer vigil in Rome. 4pm-6pm UK Time. Read the Catholic Herald catholicherald.co.uk/octobers-synod… 54 women invited to attend and vote in the Synod. This is a momentous time.
