We're ready for a fun-filled day at the Outer South Youth Summit! We've already enjoyed a fantastic dance warm-up led by DAZL Dance! 🕺🤩

Year 5 have worked really hard this afternoon to find out about the different attractions in Whitby. We researched their history, number of visitors and why they are so famous! 🏖️

During our Understanding the World lesson Nursery explored different cultural celebrations and traditions.

This afternoon Year 5 worked scientifically to investigate the most effective thermal insulators 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

In PE this week, Year 5 have been practising their netball skills! 🏐

Year 6 continued their hockey PE unit, creating space to pass and recieve the ball 🏑

Year 6 identified nouns and adjectives in a French text 🇫🇷

Today in science Year 4 tested different materials to find out if they were electrical conductors or insulators! 💡

Year 6 have been reflecting shapes on a co-ordinate grid

Year 5 enjoyed the benchball tournament, they worked really hard as a team!

Nursery had fun experimenting with bubbles this afternoon! We used straws and bubble wands to make small and big bubbles! 🫧🩵

Year 4 had a fantastic time hosting ‘afternoon tea’ with Year 2 for our grown ups! Thank you for coming! ☕️

What a fantastic time Year 2 had this morning during their DT showcase with Year 4. It was so lovely to see all the grown ups who joined them too.

Year 5 absolutely loved their session with Tammie from @equans . We worked in groups to build tetrahedrons and even built a huge whole class model. Thank you to Tammie for coming in and speaking to us all about the different parts of your job and why you love it so much!

This week in our Understanding of the World learning, Nursery had a close look at a map we discussed what we could see and had a look at different families that were from different parts of the world 🗺️

Year 1’s sound of the week this week is gn.

Year 1 enjoyed having Tammi in school today, teaching us the roles of the people involved with building a house. We also learnt how to build a wall!

This morning, Nursery listened to the Bible story of Jesus entering Jerusalem. Together we made our own palm leaves to act out the story together🍃

In Science Nursery were looking at different families from across the world.

In Science Year 1 completed Week 2 of their broad bean diary by recording how it had changed as part of our investigation.
