If you appreciated Sung Compline at St Stephen's during Lent (or perhaps wanted to come along but didn't quite make it...) the good news is that the series is continuing now we're in the Easter season. Join us Thursday at 5.30pm for 20 minutes of beautiful chant.

This morning we celebrated a Solemn Mass of the Resurrection (Sumsion in F and This Joyful Eastertide). Today was also the culmination of our annual Lenten appeal for the Diocese of Lebombo. Easter week continues with Low Mass on Wednesday and Sung Compline on Thursday.

Alleluia! Christ is Risen! A beautiful and joyful Easter Vigil this evening at St Stephen's. Afterwards we raised a toast and expressed our deep gratitude to Revd Dr Rob Sawdy as he prepares to take up a new ministry in Cerne Abbas.

Some of the music coming up at St Stephen's over the next few weeks, from Saturday's Easter Vigil onwards. We hope you'll join us – you'll be most welcome at any of our services.

On Maundy Thursday (7pm) and Good Friday (12 noon) Bournemouth Town Centre Parish will worship together at St Peter's. On Holy Saturday, St Stephen's will host the whole parish family for the Easter Vigil (8pm) featuring music by Mozart, Howells and Palestrina. #DrawNear

Over the first three weekdays of Holy Week, Compline (night prayer) will be offered each evening at 7pm in one of the three churches of Bournemouth Town Centre Parish, with an address by Revd Steve Parselle.

We began our Holy Week journey today with the blessing of palms, procession and proclamation of the Passion Gospel. We hope you'll join us during the week for liturgies at St Augustin's, St Stephen's and St Peter's culminating in Holy Saturday's Vigil at St Stephen's #DrawNear

Join us on Thursday at 5.30pm for the latest in our Lent series of Sung Compline. Come and sit in the choir stalls at St Stephen's for 20 minutes of prayerful and peaceful chant.

On Wednesday we will be celebrating the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord with a Sung Mass at 10am (the usual Low Mass time). Image shows a panel from our high altar.

On this day 138 years ago, Prince Oscar Carl August Bernadotte of Sweden married Ebba Munck af Fulkila in St Stephen's. St Stephen's was chosen because it was not yet consecrated, and therefore it was permissible for a wedding to be performed according to Swedish rites.
