Stable Recovery

At Stable Recovery, the mission is to provide a safe and stable living environment for men in early recovery. It is a peer-driven therapeutic community with a focus on equine-related employment opportunities. Stable Recovery is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help men and women who want to recover from alcohol and drug abuse. Throughout this process they are enrolled in the 90-day School of Horsemanship at Taylor Made Farms where they learn the basics of taking care of a horse. When clients graduate the school Stable Recovery finds them full time employment in the industry with our strategic partners. They are in the program for a full year before they are considered a legacy graduate. Stable Recovery has been open for 2.5 years and is at a pivotal growing stage where we will be able to reach many more people who need help in the coming years. This past weekend, Stable Recovery proudly celebrated Herbie C. as our newest legacy graduate. Reaching the one-year milestone in our program is no small achievement, and Herbie’s journey is a powerful example of resilience, growth, and commitment to change.

Congratulations to Kayla, our most recent graduate from the Spy Coast School of Horsemanship. She has obtained full-time employment, and we are so excited to see her continued growth.

Tonight we celebrated two more graduates from the School of Horsemanship, Aaron and Riley. Aaron has obtained full time employment at Rood and Riddle and Riley has obtained full time employment at Keeneland. Congratulations to these two!
