If all planned data centers in North Carolina are built, developers would receive an estimated $450 million in sales tax exemptions each and every year. And with the state’s impending fiscal cliff and the federal government retreating on longstanding commitments, state revenue is especially precious. We should spend taxpayer dollars only when it adds value to our people. And do we really want to subsidize energy consumption by data centers when they are making everyone else’s power bills go up? It doesn’t make much sense to me.

We North Carolinians need to hate the Charlotte judicial system way more. Hardcore repeat offenders commit crimes → get slapped on the wrist and tossed back on the streets → escalate to murder. The real predators? The soft-on-crime judges and magistrates enabling the whole bloody cycle. They’re not ‘justice’ — they’re accessories.

He was able to go to jail from drug charges and stealing but not murder. Got it. The North Carolina Legislature better come out with a strong message and a fix for this immediately or there's going to be some serious voter backlash.
