Stop getting the music confused with the machine behind it. Just because the main stream failed their responsibility behind some artist, doesn’t mean the catalogues not there for an artist to hold their own. Regardless who wins…Sonically, unless you’re familiar enough with Ciara’s TRUE catalog and discography; I don’t think she can be put in a proper Versuz. Because the bias is unfair and has been for well over a decade. Hits only hit when they allowed to be. Ci had to fight since the beginning to even keep her hits.

Not correct. Sophomore album is a #1 album - spanned 4 top 20 singles , including Promise at #1 . Like A Boy, Cant Leave Him Alone, Get Up, all top 20 debuts. The Evolution achieved certified platinum status during first week sales.

Yep! It’s a hot take with many, they always look at it like it’s a change, but if you’re tapped in, it was an extension of…! It was range added. And we’ve always been given core R&B throughout these projects.

It is indeed terrible. No one got a name called from me, I try to only bring facts to the table, and I was open minded to learning new information and perspectives. But it’s all love - But with Ci - when you’ve been watching the industry and whispers of the culture, tried to undermine her accomplishments since the beginning, if we don’t speak up, who will because it’s easy to just bandwagon, but you can’t give an opinion on what you don’t go listen to and that’s not fair. Especially if you’re not gonna go in with open ears.

There are several records that are in that similar pocket if not sonically better on the CiCi deluxe. And in regards to LU, there’s a difference between perspective. Chasing a moment or creating a moment. With the intent on creating a viral moment through simplicity, dance, and a positive message- Level up is actually more strategic then I think most people realize . 1 repetition. 2. Transgenerational affirmation base lyrics. 3. The timing has a call in response cadence. 4. the BPM without any extra sounds- melodically. Is better to the ear. That’s what makes you wanna move to it automatically. The perspective you have of it is almost as if it’s Kidz Bop. I just simply want to inform you on why it worked.

Level Up is iconic. It goes viral year after year with new challenges and trends, celebs have referenced it, and it's 2x platinum on her independent label. Starbucks just paid Ciara bank to use it in an ad. Who are you to scoff at that, when you're a YouTuber who has to review other artists' work for clout?

I LOVE Ciara. But yall not being fr acting like she can compete w Rihanna in a verzuz. Ciara has alotttt of hits & can wash a lot of people. But Rihanna is on the level of Mariah, Beyonce, Janet, etc when it comes to hits. Please be fr.

Which I completely understand. We just have to keep in mind that there is a very thin but defined line that she will ride lyrically they always will keep her songs playable. It’s the goodies method. There will always be lines in her songs that are just mature enough to not be immature. Example “Punani” .
