This weekend, thousands of Labour members were out campaigning across the country, sharing our message of pride in our communities.
Thanks to everyone who got involved!
Ed Miliband gets relentless bile from the right for his ‘ideological’ commitment to clean, cheap renewable energy - just as Nye Bevan once did for creating the NHS. Yet on March 25 97.7 % of our electricity was from renewables. A revolution is unfolding. observer.co.uk/news/columnist…
WATCH: Starmer on ‘beating himself up’ over Mandelson is worth watching because I really think it’s a very rare & believable moment where Starmer reveals how he’s really feeling; showing some vulnerability and anger with himself over the decision he took
1/ The affordability crisis is the number one issue families are facing. That’s why we’re doubling down on our mission for clean power.
To give families energy security and lower bills for good.
Here’s what we’ve been up to this week👇
I really like Keir Starmer. He’s a good man with morals & integrity. You can see how much it means to him to do things right & when he makes a mistake, it pains him. Many previous Prime Ministers couldn’t care less, as long as their mistakes were hidden.
I know families will be concerned about the impact of the Iran conflict on the cost of living here at home.
From next week energy bills will fall by 7%, and the price cap will provide protection for households until the end of June.
We're determined to fight people’s corner.
The antisemitic arson attack in Golders Green is horrifying.
I’ve been in touch with Jewish community leaders this morning and will continue to do so throughout the day.
An attack on our Jewish community is an attack on us all. We will fight the poison that is antisemitism.
1/ Global events demonstrate the need to go further and faster in our drive for clean power, because there can be no energy security while we are so dependent on fossil fuels.
That’s why we’re accelerating our clean power mission.

This Labour government is fighting people's corner.
We're cutting energy bills.
We're calling out price gouging.
And just now the Prime Minister has set out further support for those who use heating oil.
Affordability is the number one issue, and we're determined to act.
@JJWatt None, you did most of the work. The more technology plays in everyday life the more we become disconnected. Gladly tip for good service/interaction. UTC
Genuine question on a restaurant situation:
You walk up to a counter to order.
You find your own table and seat yourself.
If you order coffee, they hand you a cup and you go fill it up yourself.
If you order food, they hand you a buzzer and when it goes off, you go pick it up yourself.
The iPad has a “20%, 25%, 30%, Other” tip option, with 20% already preselected.
What’s your move?
I've written to the heating oil industry @UKIFDA regarding price increases for households and businesses.
It is vital that customers are treated fairly. Price gouging will not be tolerated.
The @CMAgovUK will take any action necessary to protect families.
