@modernc_org Any chance you are interested in using your wizardry to make a cgo-free port of graphviz ? Go has poor support for Graph Layout algorithms, and it would be nice to have this available.

@violetblue So we in our family have been getting a new Covid vaccine reliably every six months, whether it has been a booster or new formulation, since the pandemic's beginning. Is that not normal? Your recent round-up makes it seem like that is rare?

Apparently GraphQL has a type system and that type system is NON_NULL.

@nickgeracehacks I will maintain to assert that openapi for generating clients is pretty much BS. Pipe dream that sometimes happens to work.

There's some things I'm required to complain about every couple months, and today that is openapi. Adding openapi support so that I can check off that stupid completely useless box that everyone asks for.

@ibuildthecloud At least, manually written contract testing. Validation is just automated.

@ibuildthecloud For internal APIs too or just external? Having both internal clients and server generated from OpenAPI spec means we can forego contract testing. I would love to hear your experience.

What's do people think is the simplest most efficient way to write a database CRUD app? Don't care about trendy, just practical and quick.

@BRIAN_____ @ibuildthecloud Do you mean like Transmeta or the ARM Jazelle extension? Are we going around in circles? Do we not have enough FPGAs, Smart NICs, DPUs and IPUs aligned to speed up our DCs? Why don't we go back to mainframes? It seems more straightforward, and maybe even cheaper if done at scale

My guess will be that WASM will only really succeed because they build an ecosystem around some solution people care about, and the fact that it is WASM is actually irrelevant. Like WASM is just a great way to change the conversation.

@bgrant0607 Have you ever spoken about where the inspiration for the Kubernetes reconciler pattern came from? is it from robotics controller/calculator/actuator?

@ibuildthecloud Yeah, but now that Twitter is rebranding as X, when you count the people who left as "Ex-Users" it will seem like they are current X users. Checkmate.

I can fairly objectively say that impressions are lower and engagement is less since Twitter was purchased. It could be due to other factors, but it does seem like I’m engaging with less people these days. Which is sad.

@brandur Nice! I have really wanted something like gocrest or gomega's gstruct for testify and this is a good starting point. github.com/corbym/gocrest… or #gstruct-testing-complex-data-types" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">onsi.github.io/gomega/#gstruc

@SneakAttackPres Is Matthew J. Hanson on social media anywhere? Twitter, mastodon, etc? I loved his advanced encounters books so far!

@rakyll As an anecdote, I have long read yours and other accounts without clicking "follow", and am only now following to more selectively programmatically scrape notifications of people moving to various mastodon accounts as I stop my old method of reading twitter.

Although I'm willing to stay, I'm seeing the gravity of my engagements are shifting towards Mastodon. I'm actually surprised that 1.7k people bothered to connect with me over there in two days.

People are surprised how fast this platform can tank but... what's the reason you are here? The people. If they go away, the platform doesn't have much leverage to keep you around. The content is produced and consumed daily.
