@Scotthew82 @dathon_ohm @LukeDashjr @start9labs I did the same thing. But following the same process did not work for me. As shown in the web link I had to follow the Option B: Sideload method to fix my issue. In the Start9 system area there is an option for side loading. It's as simple as dropping in the sideload file.

@mattkratter @IIICapital Joe, we're just trying to get rid of stupid spam. These spammers are just taking advantage of Bitcoin's $1.3 trillion dollar market without doing the proof-of-work showcasing their project has any market traction at all; wasting everyone's resources. They need to test elsewhere

Why do you assume that monetary transactions will automatically price out spam? The trend over the past few years has been in the opposite direction actually. What does the block size limit have to with anything? Isn't there a scenario where we end up with lots of 4 MB blocks full of spam?

It is trivial to store non contiguous data. The long term solution is a block size limit and a transaction fee market. Bitcoin is working, it’s still censorship resistant, and the monetary policy remains perfectly scarce and immutable.

Imagine time like a super smooth slide you can cut into tinier and tinier pieces forever. Quantum computers need that smoothness to do their speedy magic tricks, like solving puzzles by slipping through endless tiny splits. But if time is like chunky Lego blocks you can't break smaller, the tricks fall apart—no endless splitting means no quantum superpowers. This is the video's idea, but it's a cool theory scientists still debate!

Imagine Bitcoin is like a super strong lock on a treasure chest. Some people worry that a magic computer (quantum) could break it. But these guys say no way! Why? Bitcoin thinks time is like Lego blocks—snapped together in chunks. Quantum computers need time to be like smooth water, endlessly split. They can't both be right. If Bitcoin's chunky time is real, quantum magic won't work on it. Cool, huh?

@GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays I'm wondering when Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and possibly Strategy will write their own Bitcoin node software. Nothing is preventing themselves from doing it and embedding it into the products they already sell.

Mechanic #BIP-110@GrassFedBitcoin·
Probably not necessary to keep on about @ToneVays's hit job but in summary: He claims that Bitcoin is made up of three constituent parts - nodes, miners, and "code" - and that all three would become more centralized as a result of BIP-110. To address all three: Node runners switching to different clients makes no difference in either direction. Fewer nodes means more centralization, more nodes means less centralization. People running alternatives to Core with overall numbers remaining the same increases decentralization while raising likelihood of network instability. But this bleeds over into his "code" area. Regardless, the claim that BIP-110 causes centralization of nodes is untrue. It is not causing fewer people to run nodes, and the motive for it is to prevent arbitrary data storage in an effort to preserve node count. Mining being "fairer" (i.e more decentralized) as he puts it due to removal of filters is not only a grossly over exaggerated point, but this relates to *spam filtration*. BIP-110 changes CONSENSUS rules - meaning mining is completely unaffected in that regard. I don't think Tone actually understands this point. You cannot submit consensus invalid TXs out of band to a large miner the way you can if seeking to evade filters. So for this one he offers no explanation. He just asserts that BIP-110 centralizes mining with no accompanying explanation. His concern about filters would be mitigated by BIP-110 as out-of-band large OP RETURNs that are getting filtered and disproportionately mined by large miners offering "private mempools" would no longer be able to continue. So presenting filters as centralizing in order to attack a consensus changing soft fork means you're arguing against yourself. Lastly "code". Core is presented as a pinnacle of FOSS principles, and "the most transparent open source project in the world". Well that's simply untrue. And as coincidence would have it, a Core developer at the same conference where Tone did his hit piece came out blowing the whistle after years of inside experience saying it's the exact opposite. Tone presents long lists of developers using it as an indication of decentralization with BIP-110 having comparatively little. But what do you want exactly? It doesn't take hundreds of devs to write custom patches on top of Core which is all Knots and BIP-110 are - not completely independent implementations. Having more devs to make lists look more impressive is just unnecessary. There is nothing for 200 devs to actually do on BIP-110. It's very simple. Decentralization comes from what Bitcoiners choose to run. If they all run Core that is obviously not more decentralized as Tone implies. How could it be? I hope Tone course corrects as this has been embarrassing to observe. Final point, I disagree with this notion of three constituent parts acting as checks and balances on one another. Miners and devs/"code" are not a check or balance on nodes. Nodes *are* the check or balance on everything else. They are the boss. Bitcoin *is* its rules and its rules *are* what nodes say they are. If devs or miners acquired the power people think they already have, then money printing would begin five minutes later. It can't because nodes won't permit it.

Our cash pay database is undergoing a pretty big renovation. We have 2 million "cash pay" prices for healthcare services. That number is growing rapidly and those prices are significantly lower than what health plans are paying. Right now you have to reach out to your Care Advocate to get them but we are transitioning this database to a searchable function in our app. By mid year you will be able to get cash pay prices for most services in almost all the primary, secondary, and tertiary cities in the US.

For those who are interested in the reasoning behind this move: 1. Only ~5% of our active users have even tried Lightning. 2. 50% of them had issues, mostly because our integration didn‘t work well. 3. Even most of those who had a good first experience didn‘t continue to use it. If a substantial number of users, let‘s say >20%, would have given it a try, we would have invested more to make it work properly. That said, many issues were out of our hands. Self-custodial Lightning is really complicated. At Relai, we are committed to build what our users want. It seems 95% of our users are interested in saving BTC, not spending it. We will definitely reconsider Lightning once demand for Bitcoin payments picks up and the UX of self-custodial Lighting implementations improve. Let me know if you have any further questions, and keep stacking!🧡
