Xpeng #VLA 2.0 vs. Tesla #FSD.
The verdict is finally in.
The title does't do justice in how flawlessly the VLA 2.0 performed during my evening drive on the outskirts of Beijing confronting unique scenarios typical to complex road conditions in China, in fact I probably said the word "good" a dozen times and wondered if FSD would have performed as well in exactly the same scenarios.
But there were also instances where VLA 2.0 was lacking FSD decisiveness, and there's still a gap to "FSD good" with a frame of reference of myself having experienced FSD 14.2.2.5 for close to a month.
But then again, I emphasize in the video that it's difficult to have an apples to apples comparison of using FSD in western Massachusetts with much simpler road conditions vs. VLA 2.0 in a complex and diverse suburban environment in a big city like Beijing. This was also the emphasis He Xiaopeng made when I asked him earlier in the day of the test drive at the #BeijingAutoShow where VLA 2.0 excels and where it lags compared to FSD.
The test drive was about 45 minutes and I compacted it to about 17 minutes in the video with my "play by play" commentary also offering context of driving and road conditions in China.
There was one take over and one instance where I did a stalk-initiated lane change.
Still kudos to He Xiaopeng and the team, it's by far the best yet from Xpeng since I had my first ever experience with #XNGP back in 2023.

@KELMAND1 @nlggqgu7530 不是这么简单的对比的。卖飞机其实卖的是体系,跟卖点火炮装甲车完全不是一个层级的事。体系就意味着能实现重大战略价值,所以不是单纯的经济考量。必须有比较坚实的信任作为基础。目前我看伊朗不具备这个条件。

大家比较关心的是稀土出口问题,先说结论:
尽管中美同意在双边关税和部分非关税反制措施上实现对等缓和,但稀土出口管制作为中国的国家安全和产业政策工具,仍将继续执行,不会一并取消。
稀土出口管制是中国在2025年4月4日单独实施的战略性出口限制措施,并非关税或非关税反制措施的组成部分。中国商务部和海关总署发布的第 18 号公告,明确对中、重稀土等关键矿产实施出口许可管理和配额限制,以维护国家安全与产业链安全。
这些稀土管制自4月起生效后,并未在中美5月14日达成的日内瓦经贸联合声明中被取消或提及。相反,声明中仅针对双方此前互征的从价关税及非关税反制措施作了对等调整,不包括对稀土或其他战略性材料的出口许可管控。

美国现在对中国产品的关税是:
10%基础关税 + 20%芬太尼关税 = 30%
为什么说跪的很彻底呢?就是4月2号“解放日”以来的所有一溜十三招加税只剩了一个10%基础关税。这基本上符合中方对美国的要求:公平,对等,你要是全球收10%关税是底线,中国可以接受,我也收你10%呗,但是中国不接受歧视性关税。
芬太尼关税那个20%,估计后面还会单独谈给懂王一个台阶下就完事儿了。
