Jesus Christ you guys. Why are you lashing out at the manager ? He’s just doing his job trying to be professional by answering questions that maybe confusing, and you now led him to lock his account due to constant harassment.
Like can you all please just behave for once?
If you don’t like it because it looks too AI, then just don’t buy it. Not all designs are people’s taste and doesn’t have to be bought out. There are plenty of graphic tees that are ugly or not in great taste.
Please just stop being aggressive for once. It’s not even “leave my billionaire company alone” meme. It’s just weird on how people are lashing out at someone just doing his work defending his co workers. That’s all.

@SpicyBaconPig @KateacIysm It’s unlikely but never say never. The writing team has shown they can bring long absent characters back into the fold for good narratives. Personally if they were going to, I think it’s entirely too soon. And they’d need to have an excellent way to show his development.
English

@Stout_Helm @KateacIysm He's already come back to tell the good story that involved him, bringing him back in any capacity wouldn't involve a good story.
English

@Dragosbeard @delmontyb If what he says is harmful to the brand he is engaging with, they do have a stake in what is said. Even if you don't personally see that connection with the creator in question, there are people who will make that association.
English

@Stout_Helm @delmontyb It is a direct attempt to control how he conducts himself outside of the scope of their private platform.
It's none of their business what he says on his personal stream. Even if he is playing their game.
English

Oh this is for sure going to be weaponized against streamers… what a wild day, first the news about Destiny 2 ending and now Xeno gets a ban in FFXIV… I’m sure some will celebrate this, but this is a major red flag and victory for censorship
Xenosys@XenosysVex
I was banned on FFXIV for Aggressive comments and behavior against others during twitch streams. I was not aware the ToS applied to outside of game as long as ANY FFXIV copyright content was visible. I was not given any details about the ban other than that. More details later.
English

@KimSooyoun75030 @delmontyb Right. If this was a case of Square patrolling lots of streams and issuing bans left and right, that’s different. But this is an isolated incident with circumstantial evidence for why it happened.
English

@delmontyb @Stout_Helm I agree in part that streamers should not get punished for saying things on stream. But on the other hand if they are bullying players that play the game outside the game, it becomes a preventive ban atp. Cant be that hard to not bully people on their streams most dont
English

@delmontyb And is this really Square monitoring the big streams 1984 style? Or is it much more likely the user in question was reported for abhorrent behavior and they investigated?
English

@delmontyb Feels pretty disingenuous to not make your own argument, but here’s a rebuttal.
This is one isolated incident of it happening. That doesn’t equate to an epidemic of content creators getting banned for sharing opinions.
English

@Kwasbot @delmontyb I actually wrote my own thoughts. If I’m not going to get a genuine response, why bother? Also I was responding to his post, buddy
English

@Stout_Helm @delmontyb You started this conversation and your only counterpoint was putting their message in a shitty ai powered ai detector?

English

Fair point — moderation isn’t inherently censorship, and “aggressive, repeated behavior” shouldn’t get a free pass.
That said, the chilling part here is Square Enix explicitly monitoring outside the game (Twitch streams) and handing out in-game bans for it. When someone can’t vent or speak their mind on their own stream without risking a permanent FFXIV ban just because game footage is visible, a lot of people will simply self-censor to stay safe. That’s the exact mechanism of censorship: not the ban itself, but the fear that keeps others from speaking freely.
It’s not about protecting “harmless criticism.” It’s about extending corporate moderation into your personal content creation. That feels like a pretty big red flag to me.
English

@Elliechi_ It's hard to get back on the saddle. I have like... four scripts written, voiced and in a timeline, I just lose focus.
English

I have been so generous with the latitude that the show took this franchise
But you can’t even SPELL HIS NAME CORRECTLY? On an official shirt???
Kenny 🤎@vergildearest
