@SheffdeParty @HelpSheffield @Agg_Management The real problem is that everything costs too much and there are more and more options for people to spend their free time on these days than music. Being an underground band and promoter is not like it used to be. It's not much fun for the most part and it's fuckin difficult.

@HelpSheffield I haven’t been since it moved to Hillsbrough, the last time i went was when it first left dev green to see the Charlatans.
To me it’s just become another festival of which there are plenty.
To start with it was something different in the city centre.

@Agg_Management Really? You can’t move for rock/indie bands surely..? That’s how I perceive it anyway. I’d love to see more POC musicians in the city for sure, more women, more hip hop/rap making it into the wider scene.

my 2 pence on the 'Sheffield doesn't have bands' discourse anyways.
We got loadsa bands, but we got ne fuckin venues, ne fuckin promoters and ne fuckin money plus a cost of living crisis which makes trying to do anything in the creative sector impossible without support.

@Agg_Management @HelpSheffield I dunno Jetski have had sell out shows at three of those venues over the last two years and are going on tour with Microwave, there are a load of bands under the Jarred Up banner that also have played sell out shows at those venues (most recently any Old Iron with Django Jones)
