Years ago I saw that the United States opened free nursing schools in the Philippines, giving the US-equivalent credentials. Then our government started importing them to work in US hospitals.

Newborns do not need developmental toys. They just need your face, your voice, and your attention. You can buy every toy on the market and your baby will still prefer staring at your face. Your face moves, changes expression, makes sound, and responds to them in real time. Babies are born with a preference for face like patterns, and within days they can tell your face apart from a stranger's. You make a silly face and they are captivated. A $30 rattle comes no where close. Do not waste money on toys the first few months. Just look at your baby and talk to them. That is enough.
