⚖️COURT UPDATE⚖️Cardi B has now filed joint fee affidavits in Tasha K’s bankruptcy case backing a substantial attorneys’-fees and costs request tied to the contempt / enforcement fight over the confirmation order. In a June 3, 2026 filing, Cardi B submitted affidavits from James C. Moon of Meland Budwick and Lisa F. Moore of Moore Pequignot in support of the fee-and-cost award authorized by the court’s May 13, 2026 order. According to the filing, the court had already directed Almánzar’s counsel to jointly submit affidavits itemizing fees and costs after granting her motion in part and denying it in part without prejudice on the effort to enforce the confirmed plan and confirmation order and to impose sanctions. The June 3 notice says one piece is still incomplete: because of a technical issue with Lisa Moore’s billing software, her detailed time records were not yet printable and will be filed later in a supplemental submission. James Moon’s affidavit breaks the request into two fee categories that the court had already recognized, a “Compliance Enforcement Award” and a “Reply Award.” Moon says Meland Budwick seeks $43,130.00 in fees plus $166.74 in costs for the compliance-enforcement work, and $16,045.50 in fees plus $422.92 in costs for the reply work, for a combined Meland Budwick total of $59,765.16. The attached invoice pages show extensive entries tied to monitoring alleged non-disparagement violations across social platforms, drafting the enforcement motion and supplement, responding to new posts, and preparing for the May 6 hearing. The Moon filing also lists the firm’s rates and hours: James C. Moon at $675 in 2025 and $695 in 2026, plus Irene Hernandez at $240 in 2026, with a total of 86.7 hours reflected in the affidavit summary. Lisa Moore’s separate affidavit adds another major layer. She says Moore Pequignot seeks $44,500 for the compliance-enforcement category and $5,850 for the reply category, for a total of $50,350 in fees. Her affidavit says the work was performed primarily by Lisa F. Moore and W. Andrew Pequignot, with rates rising from $800 in 2025 to $900 in 2026. Both affidavits lean heavily on the court’s prior merits findings. They say Almánzar prevailed on the enforcement motion in material respects, that the court found the debtor in civil contempt of the confirmation order, found no fewer than three violations documented across social-media platforms and a public audio broadcast, rejected the debtor’s legal defense, ordered immediate cessation / removal of prohibited content, awarded fees and costs in two categories, and separately imposed Rule 9011 sanctions against debtor’s counsel. This June 3 filing is not itself the final fee award order. It is the evidentiary support for the amount request. Based on the affidavits currently on file, the combined ask appears to be at least $110,115.16 so far — roughly $59,765.16 from Meland Budwick plus $50,350 from Moore Pequignot — with Moore’s underlying detailed records still to come in a supplemental filing.
