The thing about country music is that when written with respect and due reverence it can be an art form that rivals Steinbeck’s novels, Van Gogh’s paintings or Michelangelo’s sculptures. As an example, check out this opening verse from Merle Haggard’s “Mama’s Hungry Eyes”… “A canvas covered cabin in a crowded labor camp Stands out in this memory I revile My daddy raised a family there with two hard working hands And tried to feed my mamas hungry eyes” Damn.

Been re-imagining some of my favorite songs and re-arranging them in minor keys…I love how the feeling of a lyric can change sung to a different melody and with different tonal color in the supporting chords. Here’s a bit of Amarillo By Morning…a major key song made famous by @GeorgeStrait moved to a minor key.

Re-imagined Kurt Cobain as a folk singer and wrote a song about it…

The most abused word of the century has to be "identity." Almost nothing said about the topic by political types, for instance, has anything to do with it. The manipulators made it mean what they wanted it to mean & equated it w/ superficial traits on which they wished to base divisive social technologies. Meanwhile, we probably have less of an idea of who we "are" than we've ever had.
