@conquertheno I kinda like the West. Mountain was OK too. Midwest, I had to stay up too late to hear the Dodger or Giants games. East Coast? Only time I dealt with it, I had to watch PAC 12 at midnight. Oh, and I do like watching Big10 Football for breakfast on Saturday mornings.

Very unfortunate that it's come against some weaker competition, but all facets of the Cubs have failed to begin the year. Bullpen, offense, defense. They've struggled in basic areas they shouldn't be bad at.

@TheHoopHerald Watching this reminds me of the idea behind Player Led Teams, where leaders are responsible for energy, motivation, & accountability. While coaching in practice for so many years without an assistant, I needed that help. College teams have a motivating assistant for each player.

If your coach can't explain the "why" behind a drill, you should question the drill.

How does a school like North Carolina fire their head coach without knowing who they want to hire and if their target would take the job if offered? This might be the dumbest firing/hiring process ever.

When I was still coaching, what did I do on Easter Break? 1. Took family to SoCal or Arizona to get warm. 2. Played golf. 3. Enjoyed family time. 4. And/or - Took wife on a “just us” mini trip. But, I still had “Next Season” on my mind, made notes almost every night.

1995 was my first year as a bball head coach. I had never been an assistant. Most of what I knew came from my HS playing days, VHS tapes, coaching books, & talking w other coaches. One of the first hurdles I ran into was junk defenses Here’s what I’ve learned over the years. 1/7
