In addition to summarizing the field, we included some novel analyses that give insight into the untapped biosynthetic potential within the fumigatus species complex (hint, it's a lot). There's still much work we must do as a community!

Our latest review summarizing every characterized BGC and their elucidated products in Aspergillus fumigatus has now been published! Open access. We hope this is a helpful resource to the fumigatus community 😁 @MDPIOpenAccess mdpi.com/2309-608X/10/4…

We are excited to share our latest paper led by @dianiluciano on the role of the histone demethylase KdmB in Penicillium expansum. Here, we show that KdmB mediates virulence and secondary metabolite production in the apple host. #s0080" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Curious if your fungus of interest contains any ICS BGCs? You can find out for yourself! We've created a website to host all ICS BGC predictions made in the study. Check it out at: isocyanides.fungi.wisc.edu. 🌐🔍

In our latest study, we shed light on a fascinating group of specialized metabolites secreted by Penicillium species. These compounds play a crucial role in regulating the development of cheese rinds 🧀 by selectively inhibiting specific bacterial community members 🦠.
