Lizzo has been a professional artist for a decade-plus. In that time, she scored two No 1 hits and 4 GRAMMYs, and sold out arenas. She never built the core base required to sustain her commercial peak, but most acts would take her resume in a heartbeat.
Rolling Stone@RollingStone

Lizzo's new album sold less than 3,000 copies in its first week. Industry insiders question whether it's a perceived betrayal of her fanbase or lack of label support. rollingstone.com/music/music-fe…

Michael Bolton in Office Space (1999) — by far one of the greatest character introductions in comedy film history as he raps Scarface’s “No Tears” on his way to work 😭🎬

Eh, there's a big difference in the time period all these acts got on vs when KRIT was at his peak. Labels transitionin out of physicals + all his best work not being on streaming properly for years hurt access to said fans. Only the ones who got in pre-Def Jam knew what KRIT had
Reed@ReedMySole

Big Krit career was an example used but guess what? THE SOUTH DIDNT SUPPORT HIM. They supported Migos, 21 Savage, Kodak, Young Dolph and every other trap rapper. This isnt 1995. Nobody calls southern rappers ignorant and slow. Thats called projecting. The south has a problem supporting these type of rappers. Thats why JID, Nick grant and plenty others aren't where they should be.
