In 2024, he went away from that approach and sold out more for contact, was his worst year by far. And in 2025 showed increases in batted ball quality and was around average in most batted ball metrics but stopped taking walks and slowed down when he tore his labrum. I'm just shocked so many people — some of which should know better — are willing to give up on him carrying those improvements into this year, along with healthy good defense at SS, to see what type of value he can add over an age 29 bench bat.
