There is no difference cus there’s no such thing as a bad person. It’s a myth made up and enforced so that we’d write off our own community members and the state can do what it wants. The key is to remember that somebody else’s demons, though, aren’t always your responsibility.

I also think it’s just the occlusive nature of the modern internet sphere. Our algorithms are less likely to show us jokes than it is outrage, so unless you catch the joke as part of a specific group, you’re just seeing people being mad at others for not getting it.

Y’all often talk about kink in staunch absolutes and it reminds me of my childhood when people would say, with complete certainty, that I was gay because my dad was dead.
