For me I have a 10 trade plan.
If I Loose 10 Trades I check to see if I violated my rules, which I most likely don't loose 10 trades before I do my checks but just saying if any day I get 10 trades, I'd just check to know if I was breaking rules or following my system, if I'm breaking my rules I sit up, and if I wasn't breaking rules I Refine my system or change it totally but I have never changed it because I've never been in this position before
English

My system has a 21% win rate over the past 30 days. Net negative across 14 trades. I know what the long-run expectancy looks like on paper. I know that losing stretches are statistically unavoidable.
I also know there's a question I'm sitting with that I don't have a clean answer for.
At what point does a losing stretch become a signal that the system needs updating, versus just being within normal variance? A sample of 14 trades is too small to draw statistical conclusions. But waiting for 200 trades before considering changes isn't a process, it's avoidance.
The framework I use is behavioral: if the losing trades are violating the system's own criteria, something structural is wrong. If they're executing exactly as designed and still losing, that's variance. So far it's been the second case. Trades are entering where the playbook says to enter. Confidence scoring is within expected range. Stops are sized correctly. They're just not working.
That distinction matters to me but it doesn't make the drawdown easier to sit with. How do you distinguish the two in your own trading?

Overconfidence doesn't usually hit as one big mistake. It's a series of small ones that feel completely justified at the time. Skipping the prep because you've had a good week. Overriding the plan because the setup looks too obvious to pass up. Closing a trade early because you just 'know' it's going to reverse.
The feeling itself isn't the problem. It's the decisions it produces. And by the time you feel it in the P&L, you've usually been making those calls for a few sessions already.

❌ FOUR MISTAKES THAT RUINS YOUR ENTRIES!
1. Entering Without Confirmation
You see price touch a level and you jump in immediately.
👉 Problem:
Price can still go deeper or fake out
✅ Fix:
Wait for confirmation (break of structure, rejection, candle close)
“Stop guessing entries… let price confirm first.”
•This is basically Why I can wait and wait and wait to execute not because of hesitation but because no confirmation, no entry and no matter how the set up is good if there's no confirmation I let it go.
2. Entering Too Early!
Impatience kills most traders, Always Wait for all Entry Checklist before striking!
👉 Problem:
You enter before setup is complete
✅ Fix:
Let price come to your zone fully
“Your entry is not bad… your timing is.”
4. Chasing Price (FOMO)
Price already moved, then you jump in late.
👉 Problem:
Bad risk-to-reward + high chance of reversal
✅ Fix:
Miss the trade or wait for pullback.
“If you missed it, you missed it… move on.”
5. Poor Stop Loss Placement
Stop loss too tight or too random
👉 Problem:
You get stopped out before move happens
✅ Fix:
Place SL beyond structure, not emotions
“Your stop loss is where your idea is wrong, not where you’re scared"
Lastly You can still do all these and get stopped out Actually but Following these steps Reduces the Chances!
