Really wild after all of these years writing and reading about maternal health that it’s considered a health innovation to save Black mothers from dying of childbirth. Just save Black mothers. Just listen to Black mothers when they say something is wrong.

I have a chronic disease: endometriosis. I've had to have surgeries, I've been on and off hormones to suppress my periods - it has caused me so much pain and infertility which I've been battling for years and YEARS.
