If Republicans actually wielded power, they would old be expected to honor their campaign promises to fight corruption!

I agree. We are all frustrated by the corruption and by those more loyal to the Uniparty than our country. I have a close friend who, after retiring from the Army, was Chief-of-Staff for three members of Congress over the years. He was the last true boy scout and went to DC thinking he could continue to serve his country that way. After he left DC, he told me that half of the Republicans are only out for themselves and that all the Democrats were. So, we're really only relying on a mere 25% to carry the cause.

I'm 68 and I've seen some unusual things - but nothing quite like this. I believe many of our own elected "leaders" are intentionally trying to harm the country. They are probably being paid Big Money to do so.

I'm 71. Veteran. Father of three, grandfather of seven. My law practice spanned 5 different decades. About 15 years ago, it occurred to me that our goddam legal system had situated itself squarely within this paradoxical prison. In a rush to signal their open-minded *virtue*, our self appointed "gatekeepers", ie our judiciary, welcomed the intolerant screech of extremists and took a cowardly knee in deference to the left's melanated tantrum class. So it goes with every social group that seeks to promote "tolerance" at the expense of a dispassionate application of reason. When a social structure becomes obsessed with its own correctness in maintaining its reputation for virtue in the eyes of the the intolerant heel-biting minority, who are by definition aggressive, ruthless, and completely unconcerned with status quo, move in and take over with intent to rule. And they did. Our judiciary is now largely - almost exclusively- bought and paid for by leftist seeking to destroy the fabric of western civilization. We're experiencing the asymmetry of the "End Stage." The job of the "leftist destroyer" is profoundly simple wnd easy from a first-principles perspective. In a complex civilization, order is an uphill climb requiring constant energy; chaos is a downhill slide that only needs a nudge. We have been nudged. We are in the early stages of the slide.
