never has minneapolis needed to celebrate the sun coming more than at the end of winter 2026. ICE are not gone completely, but we still won, and it was incredibly cathartic to see this play at mayday about protecting our neighbors, grounding why we did this work. i love this city

MPD assisted a group of heavily armed bounty hunters who abducted a neighbor today into their fake plumbers van. Bounty hunters pointed weapons at observers both at the abduction site and at Hennepin County Jail downtown. MPD told observers to let the bounty hunters do their job.

MPD Chief O'Hara responded to questions from the CCPO that shows MPD only responded when they got calls from ICE for assistance--not the community--and that they never asked ICE agents to identify themselves.
