Just so everyone knows: I have chronic face pain, and reading and retweeting news helps distract myself from the pain. I don’t post my original thoughts much, because dealing with idiotic people from the far left and right that respond just makes my head hurt more...

Breaking: #Iran has struck a major energy site in #SaudiArabia, killing a Saudi security officer and injuring several workers. Riyadh has announced its production and processing capabilities have been hit and might impact world market. A Saudi Energy Ministry source told state media that the Kingdom’s critical energy infrastructure has come under multiple recent attacks. Targets included oil and gas production, transport and refining facilities, petrochemicals, and the electricity sector in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Yanbu Industrial City. One Saudi national from industrial security was killed; seven others were injured. Several key operations across the energy system were disrupted. A pumping station on the vital East-West pipeline was hit, cutting flows by 700,000 barrels per day, a key route supplying global markets. The Manifa field saw output drop by 300,000 bpd; Khurais had earlier lost another 300,000 bpd, reducing total production capacity by 600,000 bpd. Major refining facilities were also targeted, including SATORP (Jubail), Ras Tanura, SAMREF (Yanbu), and Riyadh refinery, directly impacting exports of refined products. Processing facilities at Juaymah were hit by fires, affecting LPG and natural gas liquids exports. Continued attacks risk further supply shortages, slower recovery, and increased volatility in global oil markets, especially as emergency reserves are already partially depleted, limiting the ability to offset disruptions.

David Reaboi, Late Republic Nonsense
The Right is now as insane, reason-free and fanatical as the Left was at its peak. And—because America can’t afford to have a right-wing that’s this retarded— far more dangerous. Sorry, not sorry.

A ceasefire is only a ceasefire if both sides cease firing. If only one side stops firing and the other keeps doing whatever it wants, it’s just a surrender.

Significant: “April 8 ambush of U.S. diplomats in Baghdad.” That’s an attack by Iran—these militias operate under its direction—targeting U.S. diplomats on the first day of an alleged ceasefire with the U.S.

I hope those advising the U.S. President are making the following points clear: 1. Iran sees itself as having achieved a significant strategic gain. From its perspective, if its terms are not met, there will be no meeting in Islamabad, even at the cost of renewed escalation. 2. Iran is unlikely to reopen the straits without a full ceasefire, which it believes was promised, even under pressure or threats. 3. Tehran has no intention of offering new concessions beyond what has already been discussed with the U.S. It views itself as negotiating from a position of strength, so why concede more? 4. The “Axis of Resistance” operates as an interconnected system. As long as fighting continues in Lebanon, Shiite militias in Iraq and potentially the Houthis, are likely to remain engaged. Iran does not see itself as having been defeated. It did not seek these negotiations, and it is unrealistic to expect concessions at the table if, in its own assessment, it has not conceded on the battlefield.

🚨🛢🚢Trump on Truth Social: Iran is doing a very poor job, dishonorable some would say, of allowing Oil to go through the Strait of Hormuz. That is not the agreement we have!
