@PeterBatt3 @coopuk Great words!
However, this should be addressed every day.
Not just when it’s dictated that it’s “mental health” day. 🙌🏻❤️

Our partnership at the @coopuk with MIND has never been more important as we can all do one thing to help enable every single person to have the opportunity for support with 1 in 4 experiencing a mental health problem of some kind every year #WorldMentalHealthDay #DoOneThing

@coopuk It’s the most amazing experience - I just hope that lots of people apply - even though it may seem daunting.

You’re a man that exudes everything that you have - strength, calm and experience.
❤️🙌🏻

@Wine_Cuentista Congratulations! I can totally relate.
6 years ago I hit reset. Walked away from a marriage, a job and a country I’d known for 20 years.
I’m sat here drinking coffee in the garden now watching my 2 year old play in the garden thankful I had the bravery to jump into the unknown

@Kevbrown0987 @coopuk @matthewdawe17 @coopukcolleague Understanding that mental health is as important as physical health matters! ❤️🙌🏻
English

@Biblioate @DrJessTaylor Agreed. A lack of vitamin B12 can also be a cause of depression and anxiety. It can also mimic MS amongst other mistaken diagnoses.
English

@DrJessTaylor @TraciLAHull There also needs to be a proper move to rule out physical issues before a mental health "diagnosis" is applied. Thousands of thyroid patients suffer each year after being misdiagnosed with anxiety/depression when a simple blood test to check their TSH level should have been done
English

@DrJessTaylor @Biblioate I do understand where you are coming from.
However, without being able to perform tests that don’t exist, how do you suggest people can be helped in the meantime?
English

@TraciLAHull @Biblioate No, we can use trauma informed approaches and demand better evidence bases.
There are no tests because the entire theory is flawed. How can anyone claim a brain chemistry imbalance if there is no valid test?
English

@DrJessTaylor @Biblioate So, what is the answer? Can you just let people suffer endlessly?
English

@HildegardP @CultOfIntegrity @DrJessTaylor I was never suggesting that reading body language was a qualification to diagnosis anyone.
My point was that people with relevant academic training need more than what you can get from a text book.
English

@TraciLAHull @CultOfIntegrity @DrJessTaylor Unfortunately we both know that a RMN who's done a one-academic year course can be let loose alone to diagnose patients & determine their treatment (if any).
Reading body language is no substitute for adequate training.
English

@HildegardP @CultOfIntegrity @DrJessTaylor Whilst I somewhat agree here, I’d argue that there are actually people out there that can read and understand people by talking with them, reading body language etc etc.
The questionnaire part of any evaluation is completely lacking in any personal level of assessment.
English

@CultOfIntegrity @DrJessTaylor Problem in the UK is that the ppl doing psych assessments are often, to put it kindly, very lightly-trained, place too much faith in the questionnaires & lack sufficient grounding in eg; developmental psych, to ask the necessary further questions.

Spending my morning off investing in myself with some #leadershift time and a familiar picture pops up.
I’ve been fascinated by Ikigai (Japanese meaning of life)for a few years now as I look for my true purpose and thrilled it’s now part of our @coopuk learning.
