.@byuwbb into the WBIT Championship game vs. Columbia with a 70-67 win over Kansas. The Cougars were previously 0-5 vs. Kansas in their Big 12 era... until today's win over the Jayhawks. A season of "firsts" continues... in @LeeCummard's "first" season as Head Coach. #BYU #BYUSN

@HeathMayo that's the problem with a president who only thinks in 140 characters

Friday, 3:40 PM ET: “I don't want to do a ceasefire with Iran.”
Friday, 5:15 PM ET: The US is “considering winding down” the war with Iran.
Today, 2:00 PM ET: Trump is planning “peace talks.”
Now: “If Iran doesn’t open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours the US will obliterate Iran's power plants.”
People need to stop pretending this is all part of some plan. He has no clue what he’s doing and is effectively trying to tweet through a war he started on an impulse.

@mid_madness neither auburn nor smu would last a quarter in Ypsilanti

@CBB_Central hard pass on AQ play-ins just so we can get more mediocre P4 (P2) teams in

This is what a new “First 12” would look like, based on NCAA seed list, First Four Out, and WAB.
Mid-major AQs get pushed down, and still no room for Belmont, New Mexico, Yale, etc. And Akron, South Florida, McNeese likely would’ve missed w/o autobid:

The common refrain these days is that an expanded NCAA tournament would help get mid-majors in.
But @SInow built a new 76-team bracket, and the results are ugly.

betting our future (literally with 401ks, sometimes) as a society that we can beat the house.

Last year, The Atlantic gave me $10K to gamble with. What started as a journalistic gimmick turned into something more... unnerving. My cover story on the online betting boom warping sports, culture, politics, and the psyches of millions of young men: theatlantic.com/magazine/2026/…

@On3 I assume their rules will allow them to count hypothetical wins as actual victories

NEW: The SEC is considering its own in-house governance and enforcement model, frustrated with the NCAA's lack of oversight.
"I don't think anyone on any campus wants the status quo to remain. In our league, by unanimous vote, we can't go on as we are" - Greg Sankey on Paul Finebaum.

@Big12Conference @Phillips66Gas that's because he's the player of the year in the conference...oh wait...

@DigginBrigham another underrated one: Mihailo boxing out on a free throw so we could get the rebound late in the game

As we continue to revel in BYU’s win over No. 10 Texas Tech, check out the three crucial plays that won the game for the Cougs.
They involve Keba Keita, Kevin Young, and AJ Dybantsa, and they’re glorious…

"Last week I dismantled the SEC/Big Ten FTI study that was designed to kill reform. The response told me something: people are hungry for the truth about what's really happening in college athletics. So our president, AD, and I decided to go further. Here's what the financial crisis actually looks like from inside a Power Four athletic department — and the three reforms that could save college sports before it's too late." #AllCollegeAthletesMustWin

The Big 12 isn't just "good"—it’s breaking the math. 📊
Joe Lunardi has 8 bids for the league and we could see a RECORD 10 teams from #Big12 in the Field of 68.
Big 12 is better than it's ever been!
