Dear Trinity Community, The university has learned that Kellyanne Lytal, the young daughter of Trinity football offensive coordinator Wade Lytal ’09, has been confirmed as deceased following the catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River last week. Our entire community grieves with the Lytal family, to whom we extend our deepest sympathies and unwavering support. We know this loss will be felt across our campus and beyond. The Lytal family has established the Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal Memorial Foundation to give back to the community and charitable causes that were dear to her. Dear Trinity Community, With steadfast hope, we write to share that Aidan Heartfield ’26, a Trinity marketing major, and Kellyanne Lytal, the young daughter of Trinity football offensive coordinator Wade Lytal, remain among those missing after the devastating flooding along the Guadalupe River. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones as search and rescue efforts continue. We will do all we can to support them during this incredibly difficult time. We also recognize that other students, faculty, and staff have been directly affected by this disaster. Our Student Affairs team has been reaching out to students from impacted areas, and we are extending support to affected employees as well. We invite all members of the Trinity family to visit a vigil space in the Parker Chapel foyer during any time this week. A member of the Chapel | Spiritual Life team will be there at 11 a.m. daily. To anyone in our community who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or in need of comfort: You are not alone. Support is available, and we encourage you to reach out.
