@roosetheroader @madeofmistak3 it's usually some mix of running out of ideas + original creative staff leaving. by simpsons season 8 there were like three different groups of showrunners, but each of them were around since the begining. new writers come in, don't "get" it, and quality suffers.

@Goalden_Gaol @AdityaPlayz7 @henrique_dutt @GTAVI_Countdown you can roleplay in games where you can bodyslam people into horse carriages. i find it easier to roleplay, in fact, when i'm allowed to pick my characters talents and abilities instead of being told who i am and what i'm doing and how i feel and being railroaded.

@AdityaPlayz7 @henrique_dutt @GTAVI_Countdown Hence one focusing on immersion and realism. Roleplaying is a thing, and RDR wouldn’t be the same if you can vault from your horse 10ft into the air before you bodyslam your opponent into a horse carriage. Helldivers is also a totally different game.

In Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018): railroad workers are actually working and they nail the track into the ground before moving onto the next nail until they finish. In Crimson Desert (2026): NPCs endlessly hit the same rocks without a purpose while clipping through them.

@Manaicgamein @nekaishi valve will literally run your servers and do all your netcode for you. workshop support is super easy to tie in to any game. positive reviews will organically put your game into vision. what does epic do? they throw money at studios for exclusives then the studios die

"oh but you could've-" yeah i could've hit the legendary rem 1v6 hexakill, but the game was a slog that wasn't fun. i wasn't gonna learn anything

"check out my turn two otk on my control deck!" isn't a sentence that happens. the principle is the same. "play out every clearly lost game way past extra innings!" isn't gonna help you climb lmao.
