Regarding legacy this is great - the format is just amazing now, rewards good deck building and play, you don’t play vs 1 deck 5 times in a challenge like before.

When Legacy sickos can’t figure out what deck they should play, that’s a great sign for the format health. Bouncing from deck to deck because there’s so many options and none of them feel enough better than the others to be a clear choice. Excited for no changes Monday.

Played beans today in the challenge and some leagues, did poorly. The format is amazing though, still working on the right configuration

This might seem off-topic, but training BJJ has helped me play Magic better. It feels like solving puzzles while someone is trying to crush you. I think it’s helped me stay calmer under pressure and make better decisions in games. Competed recently and I enjoyed it a lot.

LCQs for RC start in 5 hours, for the first night here in Bangkok 🇹🇭 I can’t sleep. Overthinking about my lists after last night I got 1-7ed in testing against a Russian guy at the store. Magic too hard, let’s try to enjoy the experience and don’t put too much pressure on result.

I can’t help but feel like the Legacy ban discourse is so self fulfilling. I’m excluding pillars like FoW/Brainstorm/Daze/Wasteland from these notes. Top of the meta for the last 30 days UB Tempo - 12.8% Cards people aren’t a fan of - Tamiyo/Bowmasters Ocelot pride - 7.4% Cards people aren’t a fan of - NA(sometimes bowmasters) Sneak and Show - 6.2% Cards people aren’t a fan of - Hexing squelcher? Mostly NA Oops all spells - 5.6% Cards people aren’t a fan of - The whole deck Izzet Delver - 5.2% Cards people aren’t a fan of - NA Eldrazi - 4.3% Cards people don’t like - Kozileks command? Lands - 3.8% Cards people don’t like - Urza’s saga? Mono Red - 3.8 Cards people don’t like - Squelcher? saga? I’m just not seeing the complaints. I feel like legacy is in a great spot right now with a ton of options of viable decks. Super shredder and sewer-veillance cam injected power into painter and mono black aggro. I think the format is in an excellent spot. 1 Tamiyo deck in here which represents almost 50% of the meta. A few saga decks. A few tomb decks. A few wasteland decks. I’m just not sure what people want. If you start pulling cards out of a meta like this do you magically think they just go away open up more different gameplay?
