Today @Ij won a case that has major ramifications for anyone thrown in jail for filming police officers or other law enforcement agents. Last night a federal judge ruled that Fort Bend County, Tx. officers violated independent journalist Justin Pulliam’s rights when they arrested him for recording police activity. ij.org/press-release/…

It would not surprise me if Ford v McKesson goes to SCOTUS again, maybe after trial. I personally don’t see how McKesson can be liable here consistent with the First Amendment, though obviously two CA5 Judges disagree. ca5.uscourts.gov/opinions/pub/2…
