A company can assemble locally and still take most of the value, profits, and decision making back to its home country. Both have their place, but they are not the same. Anyone can compete in the open market. That is fair. However, using taxpayer money to buy from foreign owned companies, when a local company can provide the same or even better value, is something we need to think about more seriously.
