At some point, it becomes obvious that these people are not interested in truth. They begin with their conclusion, get corrected, and then immediately move the goalposts because the real issue was never the facts. It was always hostility to the Church.

I’m seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday’s UFC event and all I can say is that I’m devastated.
I was there to see the fights and when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello and that’s when the exchanged happened. I did not know them or about them before that moment.
I’ll never pretend to be a perfect person but let me be crystal clear, I do not know the Tate brothers nor do I support them in any way.

You clearly didn't read the address this quote comes from.
Pope Leo literally opens by honoring 19 religious martyred by Islamist violence in Algeria. The entire speech is built around that.
Also, the Reconquista point is fascinating (ie: highly ironic) coming from a Presbyterian. You're claiming a campaign waged by militantly Catholic monarchs, enforced by the Spanish Inquisition, and carried out under papal authority as your own heritage. The same Spain that carried out the Reconquista would have considered your theology heretical. I mean, think about that.
The deeper issue, however, is that the Reconquista and missionary presence in Algeria answer completely different questions. One is just war to reclaim sovereign territory. The other is how Christians live faithfully as a minority.
