@PliskenMGS@UncleDynamite 😅
Talking behind me drives me the most crazy. I usually turn around and give "the look" but my wife will straight up say "could you please stop talking?". She's the hammer.
@UCNote@UncleDynamite I go to the movies a lot, saw 4 movies this week alone and seeing PHM round 2 tomorrow. I'm invested in movie theaters
It REALLY bothers me, and without kids I'm not as polite 😇
I don’t know how many people have told me they don’t go to movie theaters now and really haven’t gotten back into it since c*vid. I always shake my head sadly. Going to the movies has always been meant to be a communal affair. Plus the screen size, projection quality and surround sound is always far superior. Project Hail Mary is made to be seen on the big screen. Everything about it pops. It staggers the imagination. Leave the comfort of your couch and go see it with a bunch of other humans and live inside it for a few hours and gape in awe and wonder. You’ll thank me. And keep on going to the movies!
I went and saw Kiki's delivery service last week in IMAX and it was very busy
Two adults at the front were on their phones the entire movie, but they had their kids so I didn't make a scene
After the movie, I approached politely and just pointed back at all the people sitting behind them who saw them scrolling all movie. Polite, calm.
And after repeating myself since he barely spoke English he asks. "How does it affect you, how did it make the movie worse"
And I tried to explain how distracting it is to see a white light scrolling out of the peripheral of your vision all movie
And he didn't care
Some people are hopeless and ruin it for everyone. Theatres must do something about these people if we are to get back to pre covid times
Those tickets were $20 each
I wasn't a big fan of either One Battle After Another or Sinners, but I'm happy two big-budget, adult-friendly films dominated at the Oscars. This is a great day for cinema!
