As we conclude this year of Communication Council, it’s time we reflect on the memories made along the way. To those who have contributed to this organization, thank you for your legacy. We look forward to many more years of change, sports, families, and memories🫂

Thompson’s advice: “If you can dream it, you can do it. Don’t be afraid to dream big, because with hard work anything is possible.”

Ethan is on the pre law track and hopes to become an attorney working with constitutional law or class action law. Eventually, he would like to get into public policy so he can have an impact on the community in Texas and federally.

Keeping up with Council: Member Spotlight Ethan Thompson is a first year double major with political communications and government, and a minor in business and public policy.

Hawkins Advice: “Make the most of your time in CC. Life gets busy with classes, other organizations and jobs, but take time to create things you’re proud of. Lead something. Write something. Plan something. Draw something. Experience something new!”

For post-grad jobs she is still deciding between a few offers but all of them involve writing, editing and research. Skills she was able to actively practice in CC.

athenahawkinss is a senior at UT Austin majoring in journalism. Currently she works as a Moody Writing coach for journalism students, Editorial Intern in the Office of the President, and Campaign Finance Project Lead for Data Journalism Fellow.
