I enjoyed joining the Delachaise Neighborhood Meeting last night at Martin’s. Thank you to the neighbors who showed up and spoke out, I’m committed to being a Sheriff who listens and works side-by-side with our communities to keep New Orleans safe.

Growing up in New Orleans and serving this city for over 30 years, I’ve seen the power of strength and the importance of remembrance. The poppy represents such beauty while holding a deep respect for the fallen, for their families, and for the values they protected.

On Memorial Day, the red poppy reminds us that beauty can grow even in the darkest places. Inspired by the fields of war, it honors those who gave their lives in service. #MemorialDay
