@Possum_Hands1 @Mike_from_PA The effect on 401ks is hugely exaggerated. It will be less than 1% of anyone's retirement savings going into SpaceX. Which does suck, it should be 0%. But even in the worst case scenario it will have a minuscule impact to passive funds that track the index.

What's fascinating about the market is that Elon linked companies are always super high valuations based on "hype" that never actually happen. Tesla at 350 P/E and it's losing EV market share, a minor player at best on batteries, lost the solar market, etc. What's the logic?

@JPHilllllll It's a shitty scam, but it's being really exaggerated. Less than 1% of anyone's retirement savings will go into SpaceX. It's big in the aggregate, but no 1 person's retirement savings will be noticeably affected.

@EmmaVigeland Less than 1% of anyone's retirement savings will be in SpaceX. This is not an excuse, this scam of an IPO should have 0% of Anyone's 401k. But this is MASSIVELY exaggerating the effect. In the worst case scenario the loss to your savings will look like nothing.

Elon becomes the world's first trillionaire via an overvalued SpaceX IPO. It allows the billionaires who took Twitter private to cash out after new investors raise the stock price (a pump and dump), and now they're integrating it into indexes so retirees are left holding the bag.

@keithyhkim @EmmaVigeland Less than 1% of anyone's retirement savings will be locked in to SpaceX through Nasdaq. I'm not excusing this scam of an IPO, but the hit to your 401k even in the worst case scenario will look like an average trading day. No single individual will lose a noticeable amount.

@EmmaVigeland Pro tip, move your 401k holding that includes space x to S&P 500 only funds. You won't be exposed to it probably ever.

@Mr_Takuah @EmmaVigeland Nobody's retirement savings account will hold even 1% of SpaceX. It sucks that they're getting any access at all to retirement savings, but even in the worst case scenario the hit to your 401k won't even be recognizeable.

@ProudSocialist I don't like Elon or this scam of an IPO but this "risking your retirement savings" narrative is absolute bullshit. Not even 1% of anyone's retirement savings will be in SpaceX. It IS bad, but even the worst outcome will be unnoticeable on anyone's retirement account.

SpaceX is set to debut at a staggering $1.77 trillion valuation. It is the largest IPO the market has ever seen and will make Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire. But to make it happen Elon used his influence to get the rules changed so Index funds that hold millions of Americans’ retirement savings are forced to buy in. That’s right. This IPO was engineered to make Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire by risking your retirement savings. You don’t hate capitalism enough. It’s all fake. It’s all a scam. It’s one giant pyramid scheme to funnel wealth to the ruling class off the backs of our labor and retirement savings.
Power to the People ☭🕊@ProudSocialist

In the last 15 years the wealth of the billionaire class has tripled while everything is worse for the rest of us. In this video I discuss why this happened and how coming together to fight for our co-workers, neighbors, and communities is the only way to stop it!

@MizoChris Surprise surprise, Phil Spencer's plan to throw everything at acquiring studios, putting zero pressure on them, and then giving away their new releases on gamepass, results in mass layoffs every quarter. Who would have thought that wouldn't be a money making move!?

Xbox layoffs reportedly coming after years of Microsoft throwing billions at gaming! • Bloomberg reports Xbox is preparing significant layoffs and budget cuts • Cuts are expected after Microsoft’s fiscal year ends on June 30 • This would be one of the first major restructures under new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma • Xbox is reportedly dealing with declining console sales, weaker subscription/cloud results, and a lack of major blockbuster releases • Bloomberg says Xbox’s accountability margin dropped to 3% • Microsoft reportedly invested over $20 billion into content, platforms, and hardware subsidies over the last five years • Xbox annual revenue reportedly fell by nearly $500 million over that same period • The bigger picture: Xbox looks like it is being forced into a reset, not just a simple leadership refresh Do you guys think Xbox can fix the past, or is Microsoft slowly turning Xbox into more of a publisher than a real console platform?

My biggest concern about AOC is that she's trapped in 2018-era politics. If you are going to wholeheartedly endorse someone like Kamala Harris, you have to do the same for someone like Graham. He's BETTER than Harris on the issues you claim to care about, he's the nominee.
Eric Michael Garcia@EricMGarcia

AOC on Graham Platner becoming the Democratic nominee in Maine: "I, of course, am deeply supportive of a Democratic majority, and we're going to do what we can to secure that, and the people of Maine have made their decision, and we'll move forward." #MESen

@Eamil42 @hankgreen Youtubers are out there profiting every day while throwing copyright material into their videos without permission. And that's far less transformative than training AI. It is fair use in every court case so far. It's only been a problem when the AI lab downloads pirated content.

@WCK604 @hankgreen Fair use has considerations other than being transformative. One of them is whether you're profiting from the result. That's why fair use is a doctrine for judges to apply on a case by case basis, because most of the conditions are at least a little subjective.

@PopCrave No permission is needed to do transformative things with your content. Training an AI model is VERY transformative. By comparison, people use TV/Movie/Music clips in their youtube content CONSTANTLY and that's far less transformative than training an AI model. This is FAIR USE.

@river_is_nice I just don't buy his explanation that he never knew in all his years that it was a Nazi tat. He has other tattoos on his upper body that he got in America. Which mean tattoo artists, who definitely know what that symbol is, saw his chest as said nothing? Pressing X to doubt.

This issue didn’t move the polls at all because the average voter looks at this photo and says “Wait that’s a Nazi tattoo?” And then they immediately sympathize with Platner’s story about getting the tattoo drunk in his twenties because they feel they wouldn’t have known any better either.
