West Stanly Colts Golf

Conference play for the 2026 golf season began this week. The colts are 2-0 after wins over Anson and Forest Hills with team scores of 174 and 166. Solid outing today at Eagle Chase as all 6 colts golfers came in at 46 and below. Team was led by (Jr) Landon Huneycutt’s 38.

Colts placed 2nd in the Stanly County Championship today at Piney Point Golf Club with a team score of 342. Team was led by Landon Huneycutt’s 79. 3 Colts players were recognized for the All-County Team. Congrats to Landon Huneycutt, Maverick Scott, and Carter Shaw.

Colts golf opened up the 2026 season today with a win over NSHS. The team was led with a pair of 39s from Maverick Scott and Landon Huneycutt. @WSHSathletics

Fun day out at Pilot Knob Park. We fell short of our team goal today, but very proud of our guys and how they battled on a tough mountain course!

These young men battled today against 12 other Regional Qualifying teams and place 4th! We wanted a top 3 finish to move on to States, but came up short. Proud of this group!
