This is such a lazy take. Steve Kerr brought in his championship pedigree and philosophy. Mark Jackson was just a regular ass coach that most players like. Answer me this - if Mark Jackson was so good, how come he's not coaching still? How come after the Warriors fired him, he wasn't offered any jobs? And you can't say shit about the controversy over what he said because Ime Udoka had a full on public affair with a staffer and still got another chance - because he was a good coach. There is no 4 championships in the Bay Area without Steve Kerr coaching this team - unlocking the spots for Klay and Steph, drawing up plays for KD to kill when he came in. Like be forreal, I watched a majority of those games and I can tell by your statement that you didn't and still don't. I've been a fan of this team since the 1990s. Mark Jackson could not get them to the next level and he was replaced by a hall of fame coach. Anyone saying anything different just doesn't like Kerr and/or doesn't know ball. Y'all are so used to the chaos iso offense that dominates the league now that you can't even recognize when a designed play is being run. Additionally, THE MOST ICONIC USA OLYMPIC BASKETBALL moment EVER came from Steph Curry - and who was the coach????? Steve Kerr. Jordan was great before Phil Jackson, but when Phil became the coach of the Chicago Bulls - they became a great team and Jordan elevated to a different level of greatness. I saw it with my own eyes. Phil Jackson brought what Doug Collins couldn't or didn't. Same thing happened in Oakland with the Warriors.
