We have a new version of this preprint! There are 2 key changes - we now show that scMPRA works in mouse retina (!), and we finally implemented the second U6 transcript to detect unexpressed promoters. Siqi worked really hard on this so please check it out 🙂

Check out the latest preprint from our lab by my dear friend Siqi :) He developed a method to perform MPRAs in single cells and show that it can be used to detect cell-type specific regulation and cell-to-cell variability in cis-regulatory elements! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

So mixed feelings watching our dearest capybara finally out in the world. It is still a baby but a strong independent one, built by collaborative forces in the @morris_lab! Hope it grows better with more real world problems! May Capy be treated with gentle, love, and critiques!
