Severe case of Souttar Derangement Syndrome with folk claiming he "showed the attacker inside" for that goal. Literally the OPPOSITE. Chukwuani 90% to blame for not stopping at source. Butland 10% for the fluffed save.

@GordonWishart @bryce9a He wasn't Scottish but was an academy graduate. Exact same age as Cortes yet one was being slated and the other getting the kid gloves treatment and needing "more time" even though he was more expensive. Glad to clarify. 👍

@Widtinkhun @RangersTruth All about opinions. I'm yet to see what he's meant to excel in. Doesn't seem to like the physical stuff at points which given his size is surprising. Main thing from yesterday though was winning, and we did that. 👍

@RangersTruth We're talking at cross purposes here. Souttar isn't in good form and has deserved to lose his place, but a defence that is left exposed by the midfield will always be vulnerable. You could see this constantly in the 0-0 v Hibs end of January every time we lost the ball.

@WillSharp222 In Souttars last 5 starts Rangers have conceded 9 goals. In the last 5 games Souttar hasn’t started Rangers have conceded 1. The midfield must play much better without Souttar then 🤷

@Widtinkhun @RangersTruth Well the midfield has been poor for months so there is that. 15 mins aside in 2nd half Chukwuani was off the pace yesterday. People don't want to be told this though so they convince themself otherwise

Very pleased with today Answered the pressure accusations, made some mistakes but scored some good goals, created lots of chances and some excellent individual moments. (Yes some issues also) Stressful at times, but title races are! Well done Rangers 👏🏻 Onwards

@bryce9a He's just the latest target for the hive, and he has been all season. It was McCausland last year, Wright the year before. If there's no Souttar next year, it will be Curtis. Its very predictable. Stems from a Scottish sense of inferiority.

@WillSharp222 It’s absolutely right, no one’s claiming Souttar is in sparkling form but the fact everyone was saying he showed him inside at the first goal, when factually it was the opposite, shows half of the criticism at least is bullshit. His block at 3-2 was superb. That’s his strength.

@adamski152 Doesn't matter who is in the back four, when that's your central midfield set up you'll always be vulnerable. Much easier to blame one player than accept its systemic.

I thought Rangers showed some really great character, leadership AND mentality to deal with people called John and go top of the league today.

@4ladshadadream Souttar should be doing better but we've been letting Dundee Utd break like that all half. Chukwuani was dreadful in the first half. If you leave the defence as exposed as that you do pay the price eventually.
